Thank you for this post.
I too have had struggles with the path that God has provided for me. What I knew in my heart was my calling to serve God, seemed like an impulsive act for others around me. I have learned.
I'm a wife, mother of four teenage boys, massage therapist and doula. With each moment I spend with my family, I am connecting with God. With each client, I am connecting with God. With each birth, I am connecting with God. You could be standing on a street corner and be connecting with God.
Your relationship with God is yours. Like any other relationship, it is different from others. Make it your own...embrace every moment.

I am so blessed with a wonderful husband who understands my relationship with God and supports me on my path.
May you find uniqueness in every relationship.

Great catch. In every version I've ever read it is simply referred to as the fruit. I think apple is one of the "traditions" that gets passed around and gets accepted and used in commercials, books, art.

Somewhere I have a quiz with all the traditions around the birth of Christ. It is amazing how much of the story of the nativity isn't actually told in the Bible. But that is exactly what this is about, what do we accept as Biblical truth and why do we accept that?

I read the KJV of the Bible, I cannot find anywhere in the Bible that the forbidden fruit was an apple.

I wholeheartedly agree with interpretation number three. Not only does it fit scripture best, but it fits the actual evidence. Not all women experience pain and those who live in a country that fears birth experience the most. There is no correlation to the state of salvation, just expectations.
