Jeff has done the math for me and the numbers are interesting. It seems the cost to train one midwife (her supplies, transportation, food and lodging and materials) is $206. This also includes the necessary translators and Ministry of Health delegates. It also seems that when my costs are broken down by day for the 18 days of travel, it comes out to $179 per day.
